Sid & Nancy – The Cooking Academy is a startup subscription brand that educates, engages and gamifies healthy cooking for children. Offering a constantly changing monthly activity and recipe box, its owner, Nic, asked Brew Digital to create a fresh and dynamic suite of packaging material and illustrations that built upon a small group of existing assets.

Working with the existing assets, we first set about growing their bank of packaging assets efficiently and effectively. The key was optimising the contents within the box; refining the layout to be more visual by adding further illustrations, creating a more engaging and easy-to-read design for children. We created a modular stack of illustrations which streamlined the reactive process, meaning we could create a larger variety of illustrations in the same amount of time. This meant we could expand the scope, building in food themes to the designs for further immersion and creative stand out.
The illustrations gave Nic the opportunity to expand the packaging material options to customers. With more flexibility, Sid & Nancy could create 12 months of unique subscription boxes, providing a better product offering and improving customer retention.
